Born to Bennedetto D’Agostino and Carmela (Piemonte) D’Agostino in Somerville, MA.

1962

Earns a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University.

1964

Earns a Master of Arts from Boston University.

1965

Marries Lei Lanie Carta on August 28, later welcoming their son Ralph Jr. in 1966 and their daughter LeiLanie Maria in 1969.

1968

Earns a Doctor of Philosophy from Harvard University;

1968

Teaches mathematics and statistics at Boston University as an assistant, associate and full professor through the present day.

1975

Works for the FDA as a consultant, over-the counter drug committee chair and remains a Special Government Employee.

1982

Works with the FBI until 1990, having profiles serial murders and published paper and bulletin on this activity.

1985

Is awarded the Metcalf Teaching Award for Excellence in Teaching at Boston University.

1985

Is the director of data analysis and statistics for the Framingham Heart Study until 2015.

1986

Is the director of the Statistics Consultant Unit at Boston University; Is the chairman of the department of mathematics until 1991.
