Born in Malden, Massachusetts to Henry W. Holmes and Sue Cerullo Holmes.

1969

Receives a JD from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California Berkeley.

1969

Receives the Ford Foundation Berkeley Professional Studies Fellowship to the Indian Law Institute New Delhi, India.

1969

Introduces Chief Justice Earl Warren at speaking engagement at Boalt Hall Law School; admitted to practice in American Samoa in 1971.

1970

Admitted to practice in California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

1970

Published “The Indian President, Myth or Reality” in Indian Law Journal.

1981

Achieves victory for Billie Jean King and Larry King in palimony case.

1983

Inspired character of “Distroyer Lawyer” in the Comic Series “Disttroyer Duck” drawn by Jack Kirby and written by Steve Gerber.

1984

Becomes a trustee of the US Women’s Sports Foundation.

1993

Named one of the Top 20 Sports Lawyers by Daily Journal.

Marries Lori Anne Beber Holmes.

Co-founds and becomes partner at Holmes Weinberg PC in Malibu, California.
