Receives a Doctor of Philosophy from Florida State University.

1964

Becomes a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Michigan Medical School.

1966

Becomes a professor at Trinity University.

1966

Receives the Best Oral Presentation Award from GenHunter Corporation.

1977

Becomes a Fulbright-Hays research professor at the Nicolae Balcescu Agronomic Institute in Bucharest, Romania.

1978

Marries Doina Ionescu.

1979

Becomes a Rockefeller Foundation fellow in the Department of Obstetrics-Gynecology at UT Health San Antonio.
