Dr. Wanebo is born in Denver, Colorado to Clifford P. and JoAnn Wanebo.

Dr. Wanebo receives a Bachelor of Science from Regis College.
1961
Dr. Wanebo receives a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Colorado and begins an internship in the Cornell Medical Division of Bellevue Hospital.

Dr. Wanebo begins a residency in the Cornell Medical Division of Bellevue Hospital.
1963
Dr. Wanebo becomes a surgical resident at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center.

Dr. Wanebo marries Clair Anne Wanebo.

Dr. Wanebo becomes a Fellow in Tumor Immunology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Dr. Wanebo joins the U.S. Army as a Major.

Dr. Wanebo becomes a senior surgical fellow at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Dr. Wanebo becomes a professor of surgery and chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Virginia.

Dr. Wanebo becomes professor of surgery and director of surgical oncology at Brown University.

Dr. Wanebo is appointed director of surgical oncology at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.
