1925

Dr. Diamond is born in Chicago, Illinois to Nathan Avruum and Rose Diamond.

1943

Dr. Diamond studies at Loyola University.

1948

Dr. Diamond receives a Bachelor of Medicine from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University.

1949

Dr. Diamond receives a Doctor of Medicine from the Chicago Medical School and begins a medical internship at White Cross Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

1950

Dr. Diamond practices general medicine in Chicago, Illinois.

1970

Dr. Diamond becomes a full professor of neurology at the Chicago Medical School.

1970

Dr. Diamond founds the Diamond Headache Clinic, Ltd. in Chicago, Illinois, where he serves as director emeritus.

1977

Dr. Diamond receives the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Chicago Medical School.

1982

Dr. Diamond receives the National Migraine Foundation Lectureship Award.

1987

Dr. Diamond lectures as a part of the Falconbridge Lecture Series at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.

1992

Dr. Diamond is named a Distinguished Lecturer in Neurology at the University of Tennessee.

1993

Dr. Diamond serves as a consultant on drug evaluation for the American Medical Association.

1994

Dr. Diamond becomes a clinical professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the School of Osteopathic Medicine of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine).

1997

Dr. Diamond is awarded by the Head Consortium of New England.

1998

Dr. Diamond receives a Certificate of Appreciation from the Chicago Medical Society.

1999

Dr. Diamond becomes a clinical professor of Family Medicine at the Chicago Medical School.

2001

Dr. Diamond is appointed director of the Inpatient Headache Unit at Presence Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

2002

Dr. Diamond receives the Presidential Award from the Chicago Medical School Alumni Association.

2003

Dr. Diamond serves as a panel member of the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (now the Center on Addiction) at Columbia University in New York.

2009

Dr. Diamond becomes a lecturer in the Departments of Family Medicine and Neurology at the Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University.
