Dr. Zois is born in Newark, New Jersey to Athanasios Konstantinos and Asimina Zois.

1961

Dr. Zois receives a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University, where he also becomes an instructor.

1962

Dr. Zois serves as a graduate assistant at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.

1965

Dr. Zois receives a Master of Science from Florida State University.

1965

Dr. Zois becomes a research meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Garden City, New York.

1967

Dr. Zois becomes a professor at Kean College of New Jersey in Union, New Jersey, where he founds the meteorology program.

1971

Dr. Zois marries Elyse Stein.

1980

Dr. Zois receives a Doctor of Philosophy from Rutgers University.

1980

Dr. Zois is appointed president of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Meteorological Society.

1986

Dr. Zois serves as a consultant for Connell, Foley, and Geiser in Roseland, New Jersey.

1987

Dr. Zois is appointed chairman of the Atmospheric Science Section of the New York Academy of Science.

1988

Dr. Zois authors “Climatology Workbook,” “Atmosphere Dynamics; Exercises and Problems,” and “Dynamical and Physical Oceanography.”

1989

Dr. Zois authors “Weather Map Folio.”

1991

Dr. Zois is appointed chairman of the All College Promotion Committee at Kean College of New Jersey.

2011

Dr. Zois authors “Cloudy Anthology.”

2018

Dr. Zois is appointed Member Emeritus at the American Meterological Society.
