A Timeline of Professional Milestones

1963

Dr. Schneider receives a Bachelor of Arts in English and history with a minor in secondary education from Carroll College.

1963

Dr. Schneider becomes an English and history teacher and director of forensics and drama at Montello High School.

1966

Dr. Schneider receives a Master of Arts in speech communication from the University of Wisconsin.

1966

Dr. Schneider becomes a speech instructor at the University of Florida.

1969

Dr. Schneider receives a Doctor of Philosophy in speech communication from the University of Florida.

1969

Dr. Schneider becomes an interim assistant professor of speech at the University of Florida.

1970

Dr. Schneider becomes an assistant professor of speech at Edinboro State College (now Edinboro University).

1971

Dr. Schneider becomes an associate professor of speech at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee.

1973

Dr. Schneider receives the Creative Writing Award at the Virginia Highlands Arts Festival.

1974

Dr. Schneider is a finalist in Money Magazine’s contest to determine “The Best Personal Finance Managers in America.”

1976

Dr. Schneider is promoted to full professor of speech at East Tennessee State University.

1979

Dr. Schneider serves as an instructor of a newspaper course, Persuasion, in the Johnson City Press Chronicle.

1980

Dr. Schneider instructs a newspaper course, Study Skills, in the Elizabethton Star, the Erwin Record, Mountain City Tomahawk, and the Jonesboro Herald and Tribune.

1981

Dr. Schneider receives a certificate of advanced study in developmental education from Appalachian State University.

1984

Dr. Schneider serves as editor of the East Tennessee State University Evening and Off-campus Newsletter.

1986

Dr. Schneider serves as a book reviewer for Pulpit Digest.

2000

Dr. Schneider becomes an honorary life member of Tennessee Presbyterian Women.

2019

Dr. Schneider completes 30 years of adult Bible teaching in two churches in Tennessee and Wisconsin.

2019

Dr. Schneider completes her 25th self-funded international mission trip doing adult Bible teaching and leadership training. She also completes personal funding of 45,000 Chinese Bibles.
