1981

Dr. Duma receives an honorary Bachelor of Arts in neuroscience from Colgate University.

1981

Dr. Duma serves as a research assistant in the Department of Neuropharmacology at the Cornell University School of Medicine (now Weill Cornell Medicine).

1985

Dr. Duma serves as a pain service research assistant in the Department of Neurology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

1986

Dr. Duma receives a Doctor of Medicine from the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University.

1986

Dr. Duma becomes an intern in general surgery at Georgetown University Hospital (now MedStar Georgetown University Hospital) in Washington, D.C.

1987

Dr. Duma becomes a resident in neurosurgery at Georgetown University Hospital.

1990

Dr. Duma becomes a registrar of neurosurgery at Atkinson Morley’s Hospital in Wimbledon, England.

Dr. Duma joins the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society (ISRS).

1991

Dr. Duma becomes a fellow of stereotactic neurosurgery and gamma knife at the University of Pittsburgh Presbyterian-University Hospital (now UPMC Presbyterian).

Dr. Duma is appointed chief resident of neurosurgery at Georgetown University Hospital.

Dr. Duma joins the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.

Dr. Duma joins the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.

Dr. Duma serves as a contributor to the Journal of Neurosurgery.
