Chaplain Acker is born in Hartford, Connecticut to Abijah and Mary Esther Acker.

1953

Chaplain Acker enlists in the U.S. Army.

1959

Chaplain Acker receives a Bachelor of Science in Bible from Philadelphia Biblical University.

1962

Chaplain Acker receives a Master of Divinity from the Reformed Episcopal Seminary.

1963

Chaplain Acker is commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.

1964

Chaplain Acker receives a Master of Theology from the Dallas Theological Seminary and is ordained to ministry through Reinhart Bible Church in Dallas, Texas.

1964

Chaplain Acker serves as a chaplain in the U.S. Army.

1965

Chaplain Acker authors “History of the Theological Seminary of the Reformed Episcopal Church.”

1973

Chaplain Acker receives a Master of Science in guidance and counseling from Long Island University, Brooklyn.

1978

Chaplain Acker advances through the grades to Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army.

1983

Chaplain Acker retires from the U.S. Army.

Chaplain Acker serves as chairman of the Association of North America Missions.
