Dr. Boehm receives a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from Harvard University.

Dr. Boehm becomes a programmer, section head, and (1971) head of the Information Science Department at Rand Corporation in Santa Monica, California.

Dr. Boehm receives a Master of Arts in mathematics from the University of California Los Angeles and marries Sharla Perrine.
