Dr. Holstein receives a Bachelor of Science in physics from the Carnegie Institute of Technology of Carnegie Mellon University.

1966

Dr. Holstein marries Carolyn Morrow.

1967

Dr. Holstein receives a Master of Science in physics from the Carnegie Institute of Technology.

1969

Dr. Holstein receives a Doctor of Philosophy in physics from Carnegie Mellon University.

1969

Dr. Holstein becomes a physics instructor at Princeton University.

1971

Dr. Holstein becomes an assistant professor of physics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
