Mr. Generous is born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island to William T. and Marjorie Myette Generous.
1956
Mr. Generous becomes a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy.
1963
Mr. Generous graduates cum laude from Brown University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in American literature.
1968
Mr. Generous receives a Master of Arts in American history from Stanford University.
1971
Mr. Generous receives a Doctor of Philosophy in American history from Stanford University and becomes a Charles T. Wilson Junior teacher of history at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut.
1973
Mr. Generous serves as president of the Connecticut Debate Association and as a board member of the National Forensic League.

Mr. Generous authors “Swords and Scales: The Development of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, 1950-1969.”
1975
Mr. Generous becomes the girls squash coach at Choate Rosemary Hall.
1985
Mr. Generous serves as a history teacher, squash coach, and an adjunct associate professor of physical education at St. Paul’s School.
1992
Mr. Generous becomes the coach of Wallingford Junior Squash.
1996
Mr. Generous becomes the boys squash coach at Choate Rosemary Hall.

Mr. Generous authors “The School Upon the Hillside: Choate Rosemary Hall, 1980-1990.”

Mr. Generous becomes the squash coach at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
