Mr. Berkon is born in Brooklyn, New York to Samuel and Sara Berkon.

1952

Mr. Berkon studies courses at the Pratt Institute.

1954

Mr. Berkon receives a Bachelor of Arts from Brooklyn College.

1958

Mr. Berkon exhibits in a group show at the Brooklyn Museum.

1959

Mr. Berkon receives a Master of Arts from New York University.

1960

Mr. Berkon marries Eileen Phyllis Eichel.

1962

Mr. Berkon has a solo exhibition at Smolin Gallery in New York, New York.

1966

Mr. Berkon becomes an adjunct faculty member at Fairleigh Dickinson University and Nassau Community College.

1967

Mr. Berkon has a solo exhibition at the 20th Century West Gallery in New York, New York.

1968

Mr. Berkon becomes a lecturer at The City College of New York.

1974

Mr. Berkon exhibits in a group show, “Contemporary Reflections 1974,” at the Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art in Ridgefield, Connecticut.

Mr. Berkon is commissioned by NASA to interpret the first untethered space walk.

Mr. Berkon is commissioned by NASA to interpret the Jupiter fly-by.

Mr. Berkon exhibits in a NASA collection group show for the traveling exhibition, Visions of Flight.
