Mr. Koucky is born in Chicago, Illinois to Frank Louis Koucky and Ella Koucky.

1957

Mr. Koucky receives a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Illinois.

1957

Mr. Koucky becomes a metallurgist and the assistant plant manager of Fansteel Metallurgical Corporation in North Chicago, Illinois.

1957

Mr. Koucky serves in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves, rising in the ranks to first lieutenant.

1959

Mr. Koucky receives a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University.

1964

Mr. Koucky becomes the supervisor of production engineering for the Central Foundry Division of General Motors in Saginaw, Michigan.

1967

Mr. Koucky becomes the assistant general manager of Marion Malleable Iron in Indiana.

1968

Mr. Koucky serves as the local vice chairman of the American Foundryman’s Society (now the Foundry Society).

1968

Mr. Koucky becomes manager, production engineering technician, plant manager, and vice president engineer at Wagner Castings Company in Decatur, Illinois.

1976

Mr. Koucky serves as the local chairman of the American Society for Metals (now ASM International).

1979

Mr. Koucky becomes vice president and general manager of the Pennsylvania Mall Iron Division of Gulf & Western in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

1983

Mr. Koucky joins the board of directors of the Materials Science and Engineering Alumni Association at the University of Illinois.

1983

Mr. Koucky joins the national board of directors of the Ductile Iron Society.

1986

Mr. Koucky receives the Loyalty Award from the Materials Science and Engineering Alumni Association at the University of Illinois.

1989

Mr. Koucky becomes vice president of technology at Wagner Laser Technologies.

1993

Mr. Koucky is appointed vice president of Decatur Manufacturing Company and 300 Below, Inc.

2015

Mr. Koucky retires from 300 Below, Inc.

2017

Mr. Koucky is honored with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who’s Who.
