Mr. Turco is born in Buffalo, New York to Luigi and May Laura Turco.

Mr. Turco is enlisted in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Turco receives a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut.

Mr. Turco becomes an instructor at Cleveland State University.

Mr. Turco’s “First Poems” is published.
1962
Mr. Turco receives a Master of Arts from the University of Iowa.

Mr. Turco serves as the founding director of the Cleveland State University Poetry Center.
1965
Mr. Turco becomes an assistant professor at the State University of New York at Oswego, where he is eventually promoted to full professor.

Mr. Turco serves as a visiting professor at the State University of New York at Potsdam and authors “The Book of Forms: A Handbook of Poetics.”
1982
Mr. Turco serves as a Bingham poet-in-resident at the University of Louisville.

Mr. Turco receives the Melville Cane Award from the Poetry Society of America.

Mr. Turco serves as a writer-in-residence at Ashland University.

Mr. Turco is inducted into the Meriden Hall of Fame of Meriden, Connecticut.
