Born in New York, New York to Joseph Percy and Virginia Sandford Smyth.

1963

Receives a Bachelor of Arts from Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland.

1970

Receives a Master of Arts from Indiana University.

1971

Becomes assistant director of public relations for the Indianapolis Museum of Art (now Newfields).

1972

Becomes director of the Washington Gallery in Frankfort, Indiana.

1977

Becomes director of the Washington Gallery in Indianapolis, Indiana.

1980

Serves as the Wisconsin editor of New Art Examiner.

1981

Becomes director of Kit Basquin Gallery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

1990

Becomes curator of education at the Haggerty Museum of Art at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

1995
