Mr. Koucky receives a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Illinois.

Mr. Koucky becomes a metallurgist and the assistant plant manager of Fansteel Metallurgical Corporation in North Chicago, Illinois.

Mr. Koucky serves in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves, rising in the ranks to first lieutenant.

Mr. Koucky receives a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University.
1964
Mr. Koucky becomes the supervisor of production engineering for the Central Foundry Division of General Motors in Saginaw, Michigan.
1967
Mr. Koucky becomes the assistant general manager of Marion Malleable Iron in Indiana.
1968
Mr. Koucky serves as the local vice chairman of the American Foundryman’s Society (now the Foundry Society).

Mr. Koucky becomes manager, production engineering technician, plant manager, and vice president engineer at Wagner Castings Company in Decatur, Illinois.

Mr. Koucky serves as the local chairman of the American Society for Metals (now ASM International).

Mr. Koucky becomes vice president and general manager of the Pennsylvania Mall Iron Division of Gulf & Western in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Koucky joins the board of directors of the Materials Science and Engineering Alumni Association at the University of Illinois.

Mr. Koucky joins the national board of directors of the Ductile Iron Society.
