1962

Mr. King receives a Bachelor of Science from The University of Memphis and marries Elaine G. King.

1965

Mr. King receives a Doctor of Jurisprudence from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

1965

Mr. King is admitted to practice law in the state of Tennessee and in the United States District Court Northern District of Tennessee.

1970

Mr. King is admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and in the Supreme Court of the United States.

1979

Mr. King becomes the Commissioner of Revenue for the state of Tennessee.

1981

Mr. King becomes the chairman and board member of the Tennessee Housing Development Agency and becomes an attorney at Lewis Thomason.

2017

Mr. King is honored with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who’s Who.
