A Timeline of Professional Milestones

1964

Ms. Toews earns a bachelor’s degree in music education from the Ontario College of Teachers.

1992

Ms. Toews receives the Achievement Award from the Electronic Data Exchange Council in Canadian Logisitics.

1994

Ms. Toews writes a tribute to peacekeepers who served on the Rwandan mission during the genocide and to logisticians who managed the humanitarian relief effort. She also becomes the first Canadian journalist on the ground in Rwanda to cover the humanitarian relief supply chain following the genocide.

2014

Ms. Toews authors “Bibi and Babu in Africa.”

2015

Ms. Toews authors “The Consummate Traitor” and “Bibi and Babu in Peru.”

2017

Ms. Toews marries John Christiansen.
