1948

Dr. Nahinsky joins the U.S. Army Reserve, earning the rank of captain in the Medical Service Corps.

1952

Dr. Nahinsky receives a Bachelor of Art in psychology from the University of Minnesota.

1955

Dr. Nahinsky receives a Doctor of Philosophy in psychology from the University of Minnesota.

1956

Dr. Nahinsky becomes a research psychologist for the United States Naval Personnel Research Field Activity in San Diego, California.

1957

Dr. Nahinsky becomes a research psychologist at the Oregon State Hospital.

1960

Dr. Nahinsky becomes an assistant professor of psychology at the University of Kansas City (now the University of Missouri-Kansas City).

1963

Dr. Nahinsky becomes an assistant professor of psychology at Saint Louis University.

1965

Dr. Nahinsky becomes an associate professor of psychology at the University of Missouri.

1967

Dr. Nahinsky authors several texts for the Journal of Mathematical Psychology and the Journal of Experimental Education.

1968

Dr. Nahinsky authors and co-authors texts for the Journal of Verbal Learning and Verbal Behavior, the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, and Psychonomic Science.

1969

Dr. Nahinsky authors and co-authors texts for the Journal of Experimental Psychology, Behavioral Science, and Psychonomic Science.

1970

Dr. Nahinsky becomes a full professor of psychology at the University of Louisville and authors several texts for the Journal of Mathematical Psychology, the Journal of Experimental Psychology, and Psychonomic Science.

1970

Dr. Nahinsky receives several research grants from the National Institute of Mental Health.

1973

Dr. Nahinsky authors several texts for the Journal of Mathematical Psychology and Memory and Cognition.

1974

Dr. Nahinsky authors “Going by Rules,” published in PsycCRITIQUES.

1979

Dr. Nahinsky authors “Notes on a Theory of Concept Representation in Semantic Memory,” published by the University of Louisville.

1990

Dr. Nahinsky authors “Anomalies in the Judgment of Statistical Association: Fallacies Based on Unidirectional Independence, Shifting Dependence and Conjunction,” published in Perceptual and Motor Skills.

1993

Dr. Nahinsky earns the title of Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the University of Louisville.

1994

Dr. Nahinsky authors “’Bouncing Back’ from a Loss: No Statistical Artifact,” published in Perceptual and Motor Skills.

2017

Dr. Nahinsky is honored with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who’s Who.
