1969

Earns a Bachelor of Arts in biology from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton.

1970

Marries Darlene Elizabeth Wombacher on August 22.

1973

Obtains a Doctor of Medicine from SUNY, Upstate Medical Center.

1976

Receives the Stewart Gurman Award from the State University of New York.

1978

Is an assistant professor of pediatrics at SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse until 1984.

1983

Receives the Pediatrics Research Award from the American Academy of Pediatrics, of which he is a fellow.

1984

Is an associate professor of pediatrics at the New York Medical College/Westchester County Medical Center until 1988.

1988

Serves Louisiana State University as a professor of pediatrics and vice-chairman of pediatrics until 1998.

1993

Is named Physician of Year by the Parent Care Association.

1996

Receives the Seale Harris Award from the Southern Medical Association; Is an assistant scoutmaster with Boy Scouts of America New Orleans until 1998.
