Is a certified non-commissioned officer (NCO) in leadership by the 1st U.S. Army NCO Academy and serves in the U.S. Army until 1975.

1975

Works as a lead mechanic for the Murphy Sumner Drilling Company with IDP until 1977.

1975

Becomes a Certified Arc Welder through Wiesars Welding School.

1977

Is a maintenance and operations lead with the Agate & Crescent Beach Park & Tree Farm until 1979.

1978

Earns certification in commercial SEL/INST flight from the Pearson Flight School.

1979

Is a machinist apprentice with Independent Power Developers (IDP).

1979

Works as a service technician at Western Refrigeration until 1983.

1981

Earns an HVACR Certificate as an HVACR Technician from the J.M. Perry Institute, now the Perry Technical Institute.

1983

Is the president and owner of Arctic Refrigeration & Heating until 1991.

1991

Serves as an instructor at North Idaho College until 2008.

1992

Earns a Bachelor of Science in adult vocational education and teaching at the University of Idaho.

1997

Is the chief executive officer and founder of Blue C LLC, d.b.a. HVACRedu.net and HVACRedu Canada Ltd., through today.

1997

Earns the National RSES Imperial Award for the Top Technician in Commercial Refrigeration.

1998

Is listed among the Top 10 Career Technical Educators in the United States by the Association of Career & Technical Education (ACTE).

1999

Earns a certificate in distance education from the Tele-Training Academy.

2011

Receives a National Dealer Design Gold Award from ACHR News for his design of the ItsAboutQ.net program for California utilities.

Is named Teacher of the Year by ACHR News.
