A Timeline of Professional Milestones

1973

Dr. Mains receives a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee.

1977

Dr. Mains receives a Doctor of Medicine from the Duke University Medical Center.

1978

Dr. Mains begins a general surgery internship at Duke University Medical Center and receives his medical license in the state of Colorado.

1982

Dr. Mains completes a general surgery residency at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and becomes a co-owner and doctor at Surgical Specialists of Colorado, Vascular, General and Trauma Surgery.

1984

Dr. Mains becomes board certified through the American Board of Surgery.

1998

Dr. Mains serves as a consultant and trauma system director at Centura Health.

2018

Dr. Mains becomes the chairman of the Colorado State Trauma and Emergency Medicine Advisory Council.
