Dr. Jeffries is born in Rome, Georgia to Andrew Jones and Rachel Lucinda Jeffries.

1950

Dr. Jeffries receives a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Georgia.

1950

Dr. Jeffries becomes a technician for the Georgia Public Health Department in Rome, Georgia.

1953

Dr. Jeffries marries Virginia Mae Alford.

1955

Dr. Jeffries receives a Master of Science from the University of Tennessee.

1955

Dr. Jeffries studies postgraduate courses at Purdue University.

1958

Dr. Jeffries receives a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Tennessee.

1958

Dr. Jeffries becomes an instructor of microbiology at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.

1965

Dr. Jeffries becomes an associate professor, and later an associate professor of dermatology, at Wayne State University.

1970

Dr. Jeffries is promoted to full professor at Wayne State University.

1972

Dr. Jeffries serves as an acting Department Chairman at Wayne State University.

1975

Dr. Jeffries becomes Director of Graduate Programs and Assistant Dean for Curriculum Affairs in the School of Medicine of Wayne State University

1990

Dr. Jeffries serves as a voluntary professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Wayne State University.

Dr. Jeffries becomes Professor Emeritus at Wayne State University.
