Dr. Arrott is born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Charles and June Arrott.

1948

Dr. Arrott receives a Bachelor of Science from the Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University).

1950

Dr. Arrott receives a Master of Science from the University of Pennsylvania.

1953

Dr. Arrott becomes a faculty member at the Carnegie Institute of Technology.

1954

Dr. Arrott receives a Doctor of Philosophy from the Carnegie Institute of Technology.

1956

Dr. Arrott becomes a researcher at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan.

1968

Dr. Arrott becomes a full professor of physics at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.

1983

Dr. Arrott receives a Gold Medal from the Science Council of British Columbia.

1986

Dr. Arrott receives a Medal of Achievement from the Canadian Association of Physicists.

1988

Dr. Arrott is appointed president of the board of directors of Science for Peace.

2016

Dr. Arrott is featured on the cover of the seventh volume of the IEEE magazine, Magnetic Letters.
