Dr. Kadohiro is born in Lima, Ohio to Howard and Betty Keller.
1968
Dr. Kadohiro receives an Associate of Arts in liberal arts and English from Los Angeles Pierce College.
1969
Dr. Kadohiro marries Howard M. Kadohiro and receives a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and education from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
1977
Dr. Kadohiro receives a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Hawaii, Honolulu and becomes a registered nurse.
1977
Dr. Kadohiro becomes a staff nurse at Kauikeolani Children’s Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii.
1978
Dr. Kadohiro becomes a staff public nurse for the Hawaii State Department Health Department.
1980
Dr. Kadohiro becomes a coordinator of the Hypertension Project for the Hawaii State Department of Health.
1985
Dr. Kadohiro becomes projects administrator and initiated the Diabetes Control Program in 1987 for the Public Health Nursing Branch in the Hawaii State Department of Health.
1988
Dr. Kadohiro becomes administrator for the Chronic Disease Branch in the Hawaii State Department of Health.
1990
Dr. Kadohiro serves as acting chief of the Chronic Disease Branch in the Hawaii State Department of Health.
1990
Dr. Kadohiro receives a Master of Public Health from the University of Hawaii, Honolulu.
1991
Dr. Kadohiro becomes a clinical nurse specialist at the Queen’s Medical Center, a nurse investigator for the Honolulu Heart Program, and a diabetes consultant for Aiea and Honolulu.

Dr. Kadohiro becomes president and chief executive officer of Diabetes Education and Support Consulting Services.
1994
Dr. Kadohiro receives a Master of Science from the University of Hawaii.
1998
Dr. Kadohiro becomes an advanced practice registered nurse and a certified diabetes educator.
1998
Dr. Kadohiro becomes an assistant professor at the University of Hawaii at Manoa School of Nursing & Dental Hygiene.
1999
Dr. Kadohiro receives a Doctor of Public Health from the University of Hawaii.
2002
Dr. Kadohiro serves as national president of the American Association of Diabetes Education and is appointed deputy director of health for the state of Hawaii.
2009
Dr. Kadohiro retires after 30 years of service to the State of Hawaii and becomes an education program coordinator and diabetes nurse educator at Queens Medical Center.
