Mr. Gregg is born in Henderson, North Carolina to Lucius and Rachel Gregg.

Mr. Gregg receives a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with distinction from the United States Naval Academy.
1956
Mr. Gregg becomes a pilot and aircraft commander of the Military Air Command for the United States Air Force.
1961
Mr. Gregg receives a Master of Science in aero-and-astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and becomes a project scientist in the Office of Scientist Research for the United States Air Force.

Mr. Gregg is honored as Engineer of the Year by the Washington Academy of Sciences.
