Dr. Mead receives a Master of Arts from George Washington University. He then becomes a teaching fellow at George Washington University.

Dr. Mead becomes a researcher at the Institute of Defense Analysis in Washington, D.C.
1964
Dr. Mead becomes an instructor at George Washington University.
1965
Dr. Mead marries Nancy Krumpeck Mead. He also becomes an assistant and then associate professor of political science at Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Mead receives a Doctor of Philosophy from George Washington University.
1970
Dr. Mead becomes owner of Social Research Associates in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
1973
Dr. Mead becomes a first associate at Applied Communications, Incorporated in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
1975
Dr. Mead becomes associate executive director of the Domestic Council Committee on Right of Privacy in Washington, D.C.
1976
Dr. Mead becomes a public administration fellow at the Academy for Contemporary Problems in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Mead authors “Impact of Federal Paperwork on State & Local Government: An Assessment.”

Dr. Mead authors “Measuring the Managing Capacity of Local Government.”
1979
Dr. Mead becomes an associate professor of political science and coordinator of the Master of Public Administration program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Dr. Mead becomes a consultant at Mead Associates.

Dr. Mead becomes a full professor of political science at the University of North Carolina.

Dr. Mead becomes president of faculty at the University of North Carolina.
