Dr. Morris becomes a medical intern at Edward W. Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan.

Dr. Morris becomes begins a psychiatry residency at the Institute of Living in Hartford, Connecticut.

Dr. Morris becomes a staff psychiatrist at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, where he also helped to establish the Psychiatric Annex.
