2007

Becomes a co-teacher at Henry S. West Laboratory School in Miami, FL.

2007

Establishes and becomes chief executive officer of Lauren’s Kids in Aventura, FL, and presently maintains this role.

2008

Earns a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education and creative writing from the University of Miami.

2011

Receives the Congressional Medal of Merit from Senator Bill Nelson.

2011

Published the best-selling memoir It’s OK to Tell: A Story of Hope and Recovery.

2012

Earns a Master of Science in Education with a specialization in Community Psychology and Social Change from the University of Miami.

2013

Named ‘National Woman of Worth’ by L’Oreal Paris in New York City, NY.

2014

Delivers a Keynote Address at the National Rapporteur’s Symposium on Sexual Violence Against Children at The Hague, Netherlands.

Published best-selling children’s book Lauren’s Kingdom.

Delivers Keynote Address at UNICEF’s “Breaking the Silence” Child Sexual Abuse Conference and Training at Turks and Caicos.

Elected to the Florida Senate representing Broward County, Florida.

Earns an EMMY Award for producing the television program “What if I Told You? How to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse”
