Ms. Henriquez begins her career serving in various positions for the Court Appointed Masters Office.
1980
Ms. Henriquez becomes a court appointed receiver for the Boston Housing Authority.
1983
Ms. Henriquez is appointed director of housing management and tenant services in the Department of Housing and Community Development in Massachusetts.
1984
Ms. Henriquez becomes certified in personal management through the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.
1986
Ms. Henriquez becomes principal of Maloney Properties, Inc. in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
1996
Ms. Henriquez becomes administrator, chief executive officer, and chief of public housing for the Boston Housing Authority.
1997
Ms. Henriquez receives the Abigail Adams Award from the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus.
2000
Ms. Henriquez receives the Excellence in Public Service Award from the Rental Housing Association/Greater Boston Real Estate Board.
2002
Ms. Henriquez is named Executive Director of the Year by the National Organization African Americans in Housing.

Ms. Henriquez is appointed chair of the Council of Large Public Housing Authorities.

Ms. Henriquez is appointed chair of YWCA USA.
2009
Ms. Henriquez becomes assistant secretary of public and Indian housing in the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington, D.C.

The YWCA Boston establishes the Sandra B. Henriquez Racial Justice Award in Ms. Henriquez’s honor.

Ms. Henriquez becomes owner and principal of SCBH Associates, LLC.

Ms. Henriquez becomes chief operating officer of Rebuilding Together.
