Mr. Grundy is born in San Mateo, California to John Richard and Violette Grundy.
1958
Mr. Grundy receives a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Stanford University and begins work as a commercial engineer for the Pacific Gas Electric Company in San Francisco, California.
1959
Mr. Grundy becomes a station engineer and Lieutenant Commander of the Bureau of Environmental Health with the U.S. Public Health Service.
1963
Mr. Grundy earns a Master of Science from the University of California.
1967
Mr. Grundy serves as a member of the senior professional staff of the Committee on Environment and Public Works with the U.S. Senate.
1970
Mr. Grundy is named Young Engineer of the Year by the District of Columbia Society of Professional Engineers.
1971
Mr. Grundy becomes executive secretary of the National Fuels and Energy Policy with the U.S. Senate.
1972
Mr. Grundy co-authors “Air Pollution and Industry.”
1974
Mr. Grundy co-edits “Consumer Health and Product Hazards.”
1975
Mr. Grundy joins the National Planning Committee for the National Youth Governors Conference at the Washington, D.C. YMCA.
1977
Mr. Grundy serves as a member of the senior professional staff of the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources with the U.S. Senate.
1981
Mr. Grundy receives the Distinguished Service Award from the United States Senate.
1989
Mr. Grundy serves as president of the National Capital Orchid Society.

Mr. Grundy serves as an observer of the White House Conference on Global Climate Change in Washington, D.C.
1991
Mr. Grundy participates in the UN Conference on Clean Coal Technology in Developing Countries in Beijing, China.

Mr. Grundy serves as a member of the U.S. Delegation at the UN Negotiations on Climate Change in Geneva, Switzerland.

Mr. Grundy becomes president of Alexandria Energy Associates Inc. A major client included the Yucca Mountain Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board.

Mr. Grundy marries Jamei Haswell.

Mr. Grundy serves as a member of the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board with the Environmental Protection Agency.

Mr. Grundy is honored with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who’s Who.
