Dr. Kruse is born in Miami, Florida to Robert and Irma G. Kruse.
1966
Dr. Kruse breaks the world record in 440-yard freestyle swimming.
1967
Dr. Kruse breaks the world record in 400-meter freestyle swimming and 200-meter freestyle swimming. She also receives gold and silver medals as part of the U.S. Pan-American Team in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
1968
Dr. Kruse wins a silver medal as part of the U.S. Olympic Team in Mexico City, Mexico.
1973
Dr. Kruse receives a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University.
1975
Dr. Kruse receives a Master of Arts from Michigan State University and becomes assistant intramural director of Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.
1976
Dr. Kruse serves as a graduate assistant at Michigan State University.
1977
Dr. Kruse becomes assistant intramural director of Michigan State University.
1979
Dr. Kruse receives a Doctor of Philosophy from The Michigan State University, where she also serves as a labor relations representative.

Dr. Kruse is inducted into the Greater Fort Lauderdale Sports Hall of Fame.
1981
Dr. Kruse becomes assistant director of labor relations at Michigan State University.
1982
Dr. Kruse becomes a research assistant at The University of Michigan Law School.
1985
Dr. Kruse receives a Doctor of Jurisprudence from The University of Michigan and becomes a judicial clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan.
1986
Dr. Kruse is admitted to practice in the state of Michigan and becomes an associate at Clary, Nantz. Wood, Hoffius. Rankin & Cooper in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
1987
Dr. Kruse joins the board of directors of the American Cancer Society Babe Zaharias Golf Tournament.
1988
Dr. Kruse is appointed 1st vice president of the board of directors of the Michigan State University Alumni Association.
