1955

Dr. Pierce is born in New York, New York to Samuel and Ingeborg Pierce.

1977

Dr. Pierce receives a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Binghamton University, State University of New York.

1982

Dr. Pierce receives a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Vermont and becomes a fellow of the American College of Physicians.

1982

Dr. Pierce begins an internship and later becomes a general surgical resident at LAC+USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

1985

Dr. Pierce becomes an intern and then resident in internal medicine at California Pacific Medical Center, Sutter Health in San Francisco, California.

1989

Dr. Pierce becomes an attending physician at the Saint Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco, California.

1997

Dr. Pierce becomes an attending physician at Montefiore Medical Center in East Elmhurst, New York.

1998

Dr. Pierce becomes an attending physician in the Division of Correctional Health Services, HHC at St. Barnabas Hospital in East Elmhurst, New York.

1998

Dr. Pierce serves as a surveyor and reviewer of hospital CME programs for the Medical Society of the State of New York.

2001

Dr. Pierce begins a preceptorship in HIV at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine of The Johns Hopkins University.

2002

Dr. Pierce becomes a member of the Editorial Board of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Advanced Studies in Medicine.

2002

Dr. Pierce becomes an assistant attending physician at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s-Roosevelt (now Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West) and the Ichan School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, New York.

2004

Dr. Pierce begins a mini-fellowship in headaches at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University.

2005

Dr. Pierce is promoted to associate attending physician at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s-Roosevelt.

2006

Dr. Pierce becomes director of HIV medicine and an internal medicine attending at Allmed Medical & Rehabilitation Center in New York.

2007

Dr. Pierce becomes re-certified as an internal medicine specialist and a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine.

2010

Dr. Pierce co-authors “International HIV Controllers Study” for the Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT and Harvard.

2014

Dr. Pierce becomes medical director of Quik Clinic Medical Center.

2017

Dr. Pierce is honored with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who’s Who.

2020

Dr. Pierce works for Continental Wellness Centers in Florida and continues in the role.
