1933

Mr. Gregg is born in Henderson, North Carolina to Lucius and Rachel Gregg.

1955

Mr. Gregg receives a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with distinction from the United States Naval Academy.

1956

Mr. Gregg becomes a pilot and aircraft commander of the Military Air Command for the United States Air Force.

1961

Mr. Gregg receives a Master of Science in aero-and-astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and becomes a project scientist in the Office of Scientist Research for the United States Air Force.

1964

Mr. Gregg is honored as Engineer of the Year by the Washington Academy of Sciences.

1965

Mr. Gregg becomes associate dean, director, and research coordinator at Northwestern University. He also becomes a major in the United States Air Force.

1966

Mr. Gregg is honored among 10 Outstanding Young Men by the Chicago Junior Association of Commerce & Industry.

1969

Mr. Gregg becomes a program officer for the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation in New York, New York.

1971

Mr. Gregg joins the academy and civilian advisory boards and becomes chief of naval personnel in the United Naval Forces.

Mr. Gregg is appointed president of the First Chicago Indemnity and Finance Corporation.

Mr. Gregg is appointed vice president of the First National Bank of Chicago.

Mr. Gregg receives an honorary Doctor of Science from Grinnell College.

Mr. Gregg becomes vice president of corporate planning for Bristol-Myers Company (now Bristol-Myers Squibb Company).

Mr. Gregg becomes vice president of governor relations and director of national public affairs for Citigroup Inc.

1987

Mr. Gregg becomes vice president of public affairs for the New York Daily News.

1989

Mr. Gregg becomes vice president of corporate communications for Hughes Electronics Products Corporation.

2014

Mr. Gregg is honored among The History Makers of America Collection by the Library of Congress.

Mr. Gregg is honored with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who’s Who.
