Mr. Fix is born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Earl Lester and Tydfil Fix.

1952

Mr. Fix studies at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania.

1957

Mr. Fix marries Marcia Elaine Nelson.

1957

Mr. Fix receives a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

1957

Mr. Fix becomes an art instructor at D.B. Oliver High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

1960

Mr. Fix becomes an art instructor at Norwich Free Academy in Connecticut.

1962

Mr. Fix participates in the New England Invitational at De Cordova Museum in Lincoln, Massachusetts.

1964

Mr. Fix has a metal smiting demonstration at New York’s World Fair.

1968

Mr. Fix receives a Master of Arts in Teaching from Connecticut College.

1969

Mr. Fix becomes an instructor of sculpture and art history at Upward Bound at Connecticut College.

1974

Mr. Fix is appointed director of the Young Peoples Art Program at the Lyman Allyn Art Museum in New London, Connecticut.

1974

Mr. Fix is appointed president of the Mystic Art Association.

1986

Mr. Fix receives the Award for Excellence in Silver at the Katheryn Forrest Trust Crafts Invitational at Slater Museum.

1989

Mr. Fix receives the Purchase Prize from the Katheryn Forrest Trust.

1990

Mr. Fix has a one-man show of Respective Metal Works at the Lyman Allyn Museum.

2009

Mr. Fix receives the Louise Forest Gibson Silver Prize.

2012

Mr. Fix receives the Mabel Kingsbury Fentress Award.
