Marries Margaret Ann Roth.

1955

Is a Specialist Third Rank in the United States Army at Fort Sill, Oklahoma until 1957.

1962

Earns a Bachelor of Science in landscape architecture from Michigan State University.

1963

Received as Master of Science in landscape architecture from Michigan State University.

1963

Becomes an assistant chief landscape architect with Andrews and Clarke Inc. in New York City.

1965

Teaches as an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

1968

Serves as the associate executive director for the The American Society of Landscape Architects in Washington, D.C.

1970

Becomes the executive director of the Landscape Architecture Foundation in Washington, D.C.

1977

Becomes the executive director of the Center for Landscape Architectural Education and Research in Reston, Virginia.

1982

Works as the director of marketing at Myrick, Newman, Dahlberg & Partners in Dallas, Texas.
