Dr. McLeod is born in Oakdale, Louisiana to The Rev. Dr. William Lasater McLeod and Sara Louise McLeod.

1959

Dr. McLeod receives a Bachelor of Arts from Washington and Lee University.

1963

Dr. McLead is ordained to ministry by the Presbyterian Church.

1968

Dr. McLeod receives a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Divinity from Emory University.

1970

Dr. McLeod becomes a member of the Society of the Cincinnati in Washington, D.C.

1972

Dr. McLeod receives a doctorate degree from Mississippi State University and becomes an educator in Georgia state schools.

1974

Dr. McLeod authors “A Season of Grace.”

1978

Dr. McLeod authors “Presbyterian Tradition in the South.”

1985

Dr. McLeod authors “Great Dr. Waddel.”

1986

Dr. McLeod becomes a scholar of the National Endowment of the Humanities.

1988

Dr. McLeod becomes a minister at the First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Augusta, Georgia.

1991

Dr. McLeod is appointed president of Brunswick Financial.

1993

Dr. McLeod is appointed president of the Brunswick Gallery.

1994

Dr. McLeod is elected a councilman for the city of Brunswick, Georgia.

Dr. McLeod serves as mayor pro tempore of the city of Brunswick, Georgia.
