Dr. Truax is born in Hagerstown, Maryland to Bernard James and Dorothy Hilda Truax.

Dr. Truax earns a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Dr. Truax becomes a design engineer in Washington County, Maryland.

Dr. Truax marries Jeanie Ann Knable.

Dr. Truax earns a Master of Science from Mississippi State University.

Dr. Truax becomes an instructor at Mississippi State University.

Dr. Truax serves as a lay leader for the Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Starkville, Mississippi.

Dr. Truax earns a Doctor of Philosophy from Mississippi State University and is promoted to assistant professor of civil and environmental engineering.

Dr. Truax is named Mississippi Outstanding Civil Engineer of the Year by the Mississippi Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
