Becomes a certified medical technician.

Earns a Bachelor of Arts in liberal arts from the State University of New York, Albany.

1977

Works as a medical technician until 1984.

1979

Marries Thomas Michael MacWilliams on August 18.

1986

Volunteers with the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation.

1987

Is a teacher of gifted and talented and a reading specialist at Letchworth Central School in Gainesville, NY until 2015.

1987

Is a parent network coordinator for the Association for Pediatric Patients in Buffalo, NY.

1988

Earns a Master of Science in education from the State University of New York, Geneseo; Becomes a certified reading specialist N-12 in New York.

Is a school coordinator of the American Cancer Society Wyoming County Unit, later receiving the Outstanding Service Award in 1992.
