Assists in the coordination of services for President Jimmy Carter’s Domestic Policy Council.

1986

Develops and leads Family Caregiving Project.

1990

Authors “The Continuum of Care for the Elderly: A Partnership Between the Consumer and the Provider.”

1990

Authors “Caring Families: Supports and Interventions.”

1991

Holds various roles, including director of the Executive Secretariat of Human Development Services, at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, until 2007.

1992

Authors “Helping Vulnerable Youths: Runaway and Homeless Adolescents in the United States.”

1995

Is co-founder of Unity in the Community, which is later recognized by President Bill Clinton as an exemplary program.

1996
