Is an instructor and chairman of the Department of Mathematics at Port Huron Junior College until 1960.

1961

Is assistant to the comptroller at the Michigan Bell Telephone Company; Is an instructor at the University of Redlands until 1963.

1964

Is a teaching assistant in mathematics at the University of California (UC), Riverside until 1965.

1965

Obtains a Doctor of Philosophy in mathematics from UC Riverside; Is a consultant at the Atomic Energy Commission in Oak Ridge, TN.

1965

Is an assistant and associate professor of mathematics at the University of Tennessee until 1969.

1967

Is a postdoctoral fellow at the Brookhaven National Laboratory until 1968.

Serves as president and a professor of mathematics at Florida State University until 1994.
