Ms. Nix marries Carl Michael Nix.

Ms. Nix becomes program director for health and physical education at the YMCA in Asheville, North Carolina.

Ms. Nix becomes a movement education specialist for Buncombe County Schools in Asheville, North Carolina.
1976
Ms. Nix becomes an instructor of adult basic education at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College.
1984
Ms. Nix becomes co-owner of Liberty Bicycles.
1994
Ms. Nix is rated as a Top 100 Dealer in the U.S. by Bicycle Dealers Showcase Magazine for nine years in a row.

Ms. Nix founds Asheville Bikeways, which later becomes Blue Ridge Bicycle Club.

Ms. Nix receives the Asheville Chamber of Commerce Sky High Growth Award.
