1930

Born in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, to Nathaniel M. and Eva Tennessee Mangus.

1951

Serves in the U.S. Air Force as a staff sergeant for four years, of which he spent 39 months in Tokyo, Japan.

1958

Receives a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Oklahoma State University.

1959

Certified as a registered professional engineer.

1959

Becomes project manager of the installations of the Little Creek Gas Plant and Weeks Island Gas Plant.

1959

The plants’ gas production gathering system pipelines involved 6000 psig gas re-injection system and gas sales pipeline.

1964

Becomes project manager of the Chalky Gas Processing Plant Construction and Installation.

1966

Becomes project manager of the North Terrebonne plant expansion and the Dual 36 Pipeline Loop.

1968

Becomes project manager of the Calumet Gas Processing Plant Construction and Installation.

1969

Becomes offshore engineering section leader of facilities.

1982

Becomes manager of regulatory affairs at Shell Oil for the Offshore.

1985

Becomes senior staff technical safety specialist at Shell Oil Offshore.

1986

Ventures into private practice in technical safety and standards in Lacombe, LA.

1987

Receives citations for service from the American Bureau of Shipping, United States Coast Guard, and the National Security Institute.

2003

Founds TS&S Offshore Crane Services.
