Capt. Lewis rises to the rank of lieutenant in the U.S. Navy.

Capt. Lewis receives a Master of Science in international affairs from The George Washington University.

Capt. Lewis becomes director of alumni and public affairs at Centre College.

Capt. Lewis rises to the rank of captain in the U.S. Navy.
