Serves as a captain within the U.S. Army until 1971.

Serves as chief of service ophthalmology at the Southern California Permanente Medical Center in Harbor City, CA until 1988.

Is a partner with the Southern California Permanente Medical Center in Harbor City, CA until 2003.

Receives the Service Award from the Chinese Physician’s Society of Southern California and receives it again in 1989.

Is a member of the board of directors of the Asian American Senior Citizens Service Center.
