Dr. Ikar Kalogjera is born in Zagreb, Croatia, to Biserka Erak and Jaksa Jakov Kalogjera.

Dr. Kalogjera earns a medical degree from the University of Zagreb in Croatia.
1972
Dr. Kalogjera immigrates to the United States from Croatia.

Dr. Kalogjera acts as a resident in psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa.
1974
Dr. Kalogjera is a fellow in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati.

Dr. Kalogjera marries Araceli Colina Cabaron.

Dr. Kalogjera establishes a private psychiatry practice in Rockford, Illinois.

Dr. Kalogjera becomes the director of the adolescent in-patient unit at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Kalogjera establishes and leads the Milwaukee Group for the Advancement of Self-Psychology.

Dr. Kalogjera contributes to a book chapter in “Disordered Couple.”

Dr. Kalogjera becomes an honorary staff member at Aurora Psychiatric Hospital in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

Dr. Kalogjera is presented with the Golden Apple Teaching Award.

Dr. Kalogjera assumes a professorship in psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Kalogjera earns placement as one of America’s Top Psychiatrists via the Consumers’ Research Council of America.

Dr. Kalogjera is presented with the Give a Damn Award by the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Kalogjera is named One of America’s Best Physicians by the National Consumer Advisory Board.

Marquis Who’s Who honors Dr. Kalogjera with both the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and the Distinguished Humanitarian Award.
