Dr. Mark is born in Boston, Massachusetts to Charles and Eva Mark.

Dr. Mark serves in the U.S. Army for six years.
1952
Dr. Mark receives a Bachelor of Science in education from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
1953
Dr. Mark is appointed director of Gifted and Talented Programs for grades four through nine for Greenwich, Connecticut elementary and junior high schools.
1956
Dr. Mark receives a Master of Arts from the Teachers College of Columbia University.
1968
Dr. Mark runs as the Democratic Party candidate for the school board in Westport, Connecticut.
1969
Dr. Mark is appointed headmaster/director of The Long Ridge School in Stamford, Connecticut.
1971
Dr. Mark becomes Professor Emeritus at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.
1971
Dr. Mark serves as international chair of Project Milestone of the Teachers College.
1973
Dr. Mark receives a Doctor of Education from the Teachers College of Columbia University.
1977
Dr. Mark founds the Monroe County Museum Association, where he serves as president.
1979
Dr. Mark founds the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development Arts in Education Network.
1989
Dr. Mark is elected as a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in London, England.
