Dr. Busler is born in Memphis, Tennessee to Louis Francis Junior and Dixie Florence Busler.

1959

Dr. Busler serves as director of the Memphis Astronomical Society, and later becomes president, vice president and treasurer.

1966

Dr. Busler graduates cum laude from Christian Brothers College, receiving a Bachelor of Science in chemistry.

1967

Dr. Busler authors “Guide to the Messier Objects, Volume I.”

1968

Dr. Busler becomes a teaching fellow at the University of Tennessee.

1972

Dr. Busler marries Karen Lindsay Drane.

1972

Dr. Busler serves as director of the planetarium at the Pink Palace Museum of the Memphis Museums.

1977

Dr. Busler receives a Doctor of Philosophy in physical biochemistry from the University of Tennessee.

1977

Dr. Busler becomes an assistant professor of chemistry at Christian Brothers College.

1979

Dr. Busler is named one of the Outstanding Young Men of America.

1981

Dr. Busler authors “Experiments in Physical Chemistry,” a laboratory manual.

1983

Dr. Busler is promoted to associate professor of chemistry at Christian Brothers University.

Dr. Busler is appointed department chairman at Christian Brothers University.
