A Timeline of Professional Milestones

1956

Dr. Francis is born in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph Duane and Barbara Jane Francis.

1969

Dr. Francis receives the Honorary Science Award from Notre Dame High School while in the seventh grade, and completes a semester of senior-level high school physics.

1978

As an honor roll student at the University of Nevada – Reno, Dr. Francis is inducted into the National Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

1979

Dr. Francis serves as vice president of Phi Kappa Phi.

1980

Dr. Francis receives the Scholar of the Year Award from The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, and is honored with the Charles F. Cutts Scholarship. He is also listed in the National Dean’s List through the University of Nevada-Reno.

1982

Dr. Francis receives Dean’s List honors with the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic and is inducted as a member of the Delta Sigma Honorary Scholastic Society.

1984

Dr. Francis graduates magna cum laude from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, receiving a Doctor of Chiropractic, and joins the full time faculty of the Department of Principles and Practice at Los Angeles College of Chiropractic.

1985

Dr. Francis enters private practice in Las Vegas, Nevada.

1989

Dr. Francis becomes a fellow of the International Academy of Clinical Acupuncture.

1990

Dr. Francis becomes a diplomate of the International College of Applied Kinesiology, receives a Master of Science in biology/nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, and serves in a joint study at the National Olympic Training Center in Beijing, China.

1991

Dr. Francis is listed in the 10th Edition of Who’s Who in the World.

1993

Dr. Francis becomes a naturopathic medical doctor through the American Naturopathic Medical Certification and Accreditation Board.

1996

Dr. Francis serves on the Editorial Review Board of “Alternative Medicine Review.”

1997

Dr. Francis receives a doctorate in homeopathy from the British Institute of Homeopathy.

1999

Dr. Francis joins the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Applied Kinesiology and Kinesiologic Medicine.

2000

Dr. Francis is listed in the Millennium Editions of Who’s Who in Science and Engineering and Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare.

2001

Dr. Francis becomes a diplomate in behavioral medicine through the International Academy of Behavioral Medicine, Counseling and Psychotherapy, Inc.

2004

Dr. Francis becomes an adjunct clinical instructor at The National College of Naturopathic Medicine.

2013

Dr. Francis becomes a fellow of the American Association of Integrative Medicine.

2017

Dr. Francis is honored with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who’s Who.
